Aarika Neal

Owner of John's Wings Recovery Home and Founder and CEO of John's Wings Recovery and Wellness Center

My name is Aarika Neal. I am the owner of John's Wings Recovery Home for Women and the founder and CEO of John's Wings Recovery and Wellness Center. I am in long term recovery from substance use disorder. In 2015 I married the man of my dreams; we had the sweetest son named Sawyer and built the most beautiful life together. My husband, John, was also in long term recovery and an employee of The Hope Center in Lexington, KY.  He was a fierce advocate for those in recovery and spent much of his personal life outside of his work at the center helping his clients. He passed in 2020 due to complications after a stroke, and he is my inspiration for John's Wings sober living and behavioral health. I keep his memory alive daily through sharing his story and our lives with every client that walks through the door wanting to learn a new way to live! My passion is helping those lost in addiction to find their way back again. There is never a day that I wake up and come to work. This is a lifestyle for me, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Meet Our Staff: About

Cadena Burton

CPSS

My name is Cadena Burton and I am a grateful recovering addict, only by the grace of God! The reason I chose to become a peer support specialist is because I feel it is my primary purpose in life to spread hope to the hopeless. There isn't a day when I am helping a client learn how to stay clean and sober that I feel like I'm working. I was called to do God's work and I feel that it is an honor and a privilege to be able to do what I love every day. John's Wings is a program of integrity and honesty, and I am so happy to be a part of the team!
